With all the talk about the importance of improving STEM (science, technology, mathematics and science) performance for grades K-8, GYSTC has ramped up the services available for you, the teacher or parent, to help you contribute to this critical national goal. Along with our time-proven Professional Learning Courses for teachers and Family Science Nights for teachers, students and their parents or guardians, we have added twenty-two Family Math Nights/Days at the elementary school level and fourteen at the middle school level. All will generate enthusiasm with your students, and best of all, they are keyed directly to the Georgia Performance Standards. Students will be having fun while they are learning concepts needed for the CRCTs and AYP.
GYSTC now has introduced a series of 30 online mini-courses that cover all of the sciences at all grade levels! In fact, if your school system is a member of GYSTC, these courses will be available free you.
Complete nine (9) of the online modules and attend one (1) in-lab workshop and you will be eligible to receive one PLU.
