• The center is located in Americus, Georgia on the campus of Georgia Southwestern University, a four year university with professional development programs and studies in the arts, humanities and sciences.
• Chattahoochee-Flint GYSTC center opened in 1997.
• Chattahoochee-Flint GYSTC serves the school systems of Chattahoochee, Clay, Crisp, Macon, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, and Webster counties. It also serves Fort Benning Schools and Southland Academy.
• Among the many educational programs they offer elementary, middle, and high school teachers and students, some favorites include environmental science, chemistry, laws of motion, Family Science Nights, and Family Math Nights.
